Diversity
Promoting equity and inclusion by ensuring fair and equal access to healthcare services for all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, or other factors. This involves addressing disparities in healthcare delivery and advocating for social justice within the healthcare system.
Unity
Unity in healthcare means collaborating across diverse skills and perspectives to provide top patient care. It involves teamwork, respect, and open communication among all healthcare professionals. This collaboration allows us to address health issues effectively, deliver patient-centered care, and create a supportive, inclusive workplace where everyone's contributions are valued. Unity enhances our ability to innovate and provide compassionate, high-quality care
Teamwork
Recognising the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork in delivering holistic care. This involves fostering a culture of collaboration among healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Your Healthcare
Prioritising the well-being and preferences of patients in all decisions and interactions. This involves empathy, respect for autonomy, and a focus on delivering personalised care that meets individual needs.
Compassion
Demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients, their families, and caregivers during times of illness or distress. This involves fostering a caring and supportive environment that promotes healing and emotional well-being.
Accessibility
Engaging with the community to understand its needs and priorities, and actively participating in initiatives to promote public health and well-being. This includes outreach programmes, health education, and partnerships with local organisations to address community health challenges.
Respectfulness
Upholding the highest ethical standards in all interactions and decision-making processes. This includes honesty, transparency, and accountability in handling patient information, financial matters, and conflicts of interest
Excellence
Ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all aspects of care delivery. This includes adhering to evidence-based practices, continuous quality improvement, and robust safety protocols to minimise risks to patients.
By embodying these values, you can strive to be a trusted and respected healthcare provider dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of those you serve.
Vision
Our vision is to become the cornerstone of healthcare excellence within the community, working seamlessly alongside local surgeries to establish a new standard of patient-centred care.
We envisage a future where healthcare is not only easily accessible but also deeply personalised, empowering patients as valued partners in their own journey to well-being.
Through innovative approaches and close partnerships with community practices, we aim to cultivate a healthcare ecosystem that promotes holistic wellness, preventive care, and early intervention.
Our dedication goes beyond the treatment of illness; we are committed to fostering a culture of health and resilience, enabling every individual to flourish.
Together, we envision building a healthier, more resilient community, where quality care is not simply a service, but a shared commitment to enriching lives and shaping brighter futures.
Waltham Forest Federated GP Network (FedNet) was formed in July 2014, after GPs in Waltham Forest made the decision to 'federate' (work together more closely and share resources) so they could provide more services for local people.
Although people stay registered with their own GP practice, they can access enhanced services - such as Saturday and evening GP appointments, through other GP practices who are also part of FedNet.
The remit of the federation is to share responsibility for delivering high quality, patient-focussed services for the local community as an organisational entity, working together within the local health economy.
This can include developing services specifically to suit local needs and submitting bids to deliver services which are already part of primary care services, or may be delivered in the future. GP Federations improve service integration between practices and providers which improves the quality and safety of services for all our users. This model, supported in NHS England's Five Year Forward View and the NHS Ten Year Plan, provides opportunities for practices to come together to explore new, innovative ways of delivering Primary Care at scale to the borough.
This helps to form part of the overall local NHS Strategy to attract more services into the community, to help improve care and treatments so that residents are active and healthy.
